NEW GOVERNOR FOR RESERVE BANK OF MALAWI

Dr McDonald Mafuta Mwale has been appointed new Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor replacing Dr William Banda who has since been fired in the recent cabinet re-configuration.

This follows a press statement released by the state house and signed by its secretary, Coleen Zamba late Monday.

According to the statement. Dr Mafuta Mwale will be Deputized by Dr Kisu Simwaka.

The two appointments are subject to confirmation by Public Appointments Committee of the Malawi Parliament.
